Smart Snack Recipes

My younger son seems to be serious about losing a little weight and will be seeing a nutritionist to help me. I'll see what she recommends, but here are some snacks he could try (from Health magazine):

Pineapple Coconut Smoothie
Blend a single-serving container of nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 tbsp coconut oil, and 1/2 cup water until smooth.

Blueberry Almond Muesli
Combine a single-serve container of nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt with 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 cup thawed frozen blueberries, and 2 tbsp each dry old-fashioned rolled oats and unsalted sliced almonds.

Cherry Cobbler
Warm 1 cup frozen pitted cherries in a saucepan or microwave and dust with 1/8 tsp cinnamon. Work 1/4 cup dry old-fashioned rolled oats into 2 tbsp almond butter to create a crumble. spring over warmed cherries.
